Roots and Recipe Brainstorm: Halo-Halo

The food I will be describing is halo-halo. This Filipino dessert has an abounding amount of memories that traces back to my childhood, and also the present of my thirteen years of living. As a child, I was drawn into Halo-halo because of it's rainbow-like appeal, and when those sweet flavors met my taste buds, I couldn't get enough of it! To this day on, I can not refuse an offer of halo-halo. A sensory detail would use in my essay is: "The deadly heat of the sun was challenging my body to function, but to my luck, my auntie had just finished making halo-halo. As I took a mouthful of halo-halo, my taste-buds danced into happiness, savoring the sweet, icy, flavor." I will be interviewing my auntie for this assignment.
