As
the year goes by, Hawaii is not limited to its population like it was 60 years
ago. Hawaii’s population is increasing by the minute. Statistics even show that
the population of Hawaii has increased; in the 1950’s, only 480,000 people
resided in Hawaii, but as of 2012, an astonishing 1.392 million people now live
on the islands of Hawaii. Heading back all the way to the 50’s, foreigners from
all over the world migrated to Hawaii, in able to make some money and care for
their loves ones. The arrival of the Westerners changed Hawaii forever.
The
planation field industry was big back in the days, foreigners from all over the
world migrated to Hawaii in able to work and provide for their loves ones. Their
multicultural workers worked long and hard for eight hours in the hot sun in
the plantation fields of Hawaii. Although these people worked hard, there were
some unfair rules to go along with this job. For example, the plantation
workers had unreasonable working hours, only to be paid at minimum wage. Also,
their homes that their families stayed at were fairly small. Take a classroom
of an example; their homes were only as big as half of a school classroom. There
were many unfair advantages that came along with working on the plantation
field, but these people were stuck in Hawaii because of economical issues and
the cause of them being under a contract. The root of Hawaii’s population to be
multicultural was cause of the planation field workers, of course there’s other
reasons but it’s to believe that the planation field has introduced Hawaii to
the world.
Hawaii
being known as a perfect paradise is far from what the actuality of what this
island is to be. Having tourists fly in and out of Hawaii can have its
beneficial, but there’s also complications that’s attached to it. People that
live and resided in Hawaii have dentations to go too and tasks to fulfill, but
with the tourist wondering around our island, those tasks are hard to
accomplish. At most occasions, Hawaii has really bad traffic and it can infuriate
many people. Hawaii is isolated from the other 49 states; other states have
neighboring states while Hawaii has the ocean surrounding itself, indicating
that not many people know what is currently happening in Hawaii and what
foundation we’ve built to get to where we are now. The people in the mainland
are completely oblivious of the reality of Hawaii. Tourists may think that
Hawaii is a perfect place to live in, causing them to move here and making
Hawaii more crowded than ever.
There are plentiful militaries in
Hawaii, many come and go but nothingness, there are still good amounts of
people from the military that are resided in Hawaii. The reasoning for that is,
since our state is isolated from the others, its to be known that we should be the
most protected ones because other territories and can invade our islands and
attacks us. Also, the attack of Pearl Harbor should not repeat again, so we
need as much protection as possible. Hawaii is known to have the highest amount
of Military families residing on a state.
To conclude, Hawaii’s population is increasing
by the minute for three reasons; the plantation field has brought many
different ethnicities into Hawaii, tourists come here for vacation and some
decide to stay, and there are many military families station into Hawaii. Once of an island of 480,000 people is now
and island of 1.3 millions plus people.
It was a great essay but i feel like you should put more of how you feel about the sub topics. Also i think you got off topic of the plantation fields, But you worded out this essay really well and you should extend some of your paragraphs with some fact.
ReplyDeleteI think your essay was great but you not only taked about your topic, you did every single subtopic. If you had three paragraps on you subtopic you would have had a great essay.
ReplyDeleteAVOID STATING THE OBVIOUS "POPULATION GROWING BY THE MINUTE" "NOT THE SAME SINCE 60 MINUTES AGO." YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR SUBTOPIC CLEARER BECAUSE WE ARE UNSURE OF THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ESSAY. AND YOU NEED TO DISCUSS ONLY YOUR SUBTOPIC IN THE ENTIRE ESSAY. AS(2)
